Recently BMC passed a law which makes it mandatory for shop owners to have signage in Marathi and the letters shall be larger than English counterpart.
First of all, we are all citizens of India. This regionlism is not healthy.
Fundamental rights as per Constitution of India gives us freedom of expression in a language of our choice. I don't know how BMC can pass a law contrary to that.
Having signage is Marathi is nice, but it should come voluntarily through education and awareness and not by force or fear.
Thre are much more important issues facing us. Politicians like Raj Thackerey should spend time in those productive activities like Infrastructure development, law and order, terrorism. Every month, there is bomb blast. Bahadur sainik may use their power to trap them. Powai link road work is progressing too slow resulting in loss of fuel and man hours. He may pay attention to this and create his opposition on these issues rather than trivial ones.
